We are from out of town and came by here on our first night arriving. I actually can’t believe how delicious everything was. We waited about 10 minutes for a table, greeted by a friendly waiter and ordered a meatball marinara pizza and the cheese bread and caramel cheesecake for dessert. I’ve been to Italy and I can’t explain it but I’ve NEVER had a pizza in America taste this authentic. I was pausing every few seconds The owner was super kind and checking on us throughout the meal. Would definitely visit more if we lived here.
Great place to get some Italian food. We had the deluxe pizza. They actually upgraded us a pizza size for free. Thr.pizza was very good. Mom had the stiffed shells and meatballs. Very cheesy and tasty. The service was top notch. We also had a Greek salad. Very good experience.
They only serve single slices during lunch, not at dinner. At dinner, you can only order a pie. I won't be stop here again. Update due to the response from the owners. Your regulars might know your slice rules, but this information is for the average person who might stop in for a slice during off-peak slice hours.
Being from out of town, I did a Google Maps search for pizza. The reviews looked promising. Formaggio's is a clean, quiet little place. The staff is very professional and attentive. And the food... Delicious! Quite possibly the best pizza our gang ever tasted. We will definitely be back when we're in the area.

After Sans Pizzeria changed hands and lost its charm, I found myself craving a place that could deliver both exceptional flavor and that authentic Italian experience. Formaggio exceeded all expectations. The pizza at Formaggio is a delight for the taste buds—loaded with vibrant, mouthwatering flavors and a perfectly crisp crust. Every bite bursts with the kind of rich, savory goodness that makes you fall in love with pizza all over again. And don’t even get me started on the dessert; it’s a true standout, with a depth of flavor that rounds off the meal beautifully. What truly sets Formaggio apart is the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owner personally checked in on us, adding a personal touch that made our experience even more enjoyable. Our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. The restaurant exudes that classic Italian family vibe that reminds me so much of my hometown in Connecticut. For anyone looking for fantastic food and a genuine, inviting atmosphere, Formaggio Pizza and Italian Restaurant is a must-visit. It's my new go-to pizza place in Ocala, and I highly recommend it!
