I highly recommend this place! The owner was incredibly kind, the ambiance was calm and inviting, and everything was impeccably clean. The presentation of the food was excellent. I ordered the jerk chicken, and it was absolutely delicious—bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and not greasy at all. The meat was juicy, tender, and fell right off the bone. It had just the right amount of spice and a bold, smoky flavor from being cooked in a charcoal smoker, giving it that authentic island touch. The portions are generous and feel wholesome, making it perfect for a quick grab-and-go meal. For the price, this spot delivers exactly what the community needs!

I recently visited Tropical Delight in Ocala and was impressed by how clean and neat the restaurant looked upon entering. The menu was easy to read, though a few items were missing. The ordering process was quick and smooth, and I was told my jerk chicken meal with roti would take about 10 minutes. To my surprise, it was ready in just 5 minutes, although the restaurant wasn’t too busy at the time.
Once I got home, the food was still piping hot and smelled incredible. The jerk chicken was exceptionally tender, falling right off the bone with amazing flavor. I almost didn’t want to share it with my wife—I’m generally a sharing person, but sometimes there are exceptions! The rice was perfectly portioned and packed with flavor. The only downside for me was the cabbage. It had a bit too much oil, which transferred onto other parts of the meal, slightly affecting the overall taste. Packaging it separately would have likely fixed this issue.
The roti, on the other hand, was soft, hot, and had a nice general flavor with a hint of spice. Overall, I give this meal a solid 4.9 out of 5.0 stars and will definitely be back. My total came to just over $22, which felt reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food.

I would 100% recommend Tropical Delight to anyone looking to try authentic ethnic food! This restaurant caught my attention not only for its food and outside decor but also as part of a school assignment. The owners were incredibly kind and even allowed me to conduct a mini “interview”. There is a great variety to choose from, not just in food but also in beverages, and they even have a mini store inside. The atmosphere was amazing, with a welcoming feel, music playing, and vibrant colors representing Jamaica. Overall, a fantastic experience!

The owners and staff are super nice. Best Jamaican food i have found in Florida. I eat the Jerk Chicken all the time and love it. The owner gave me a sample of the Curry Goat today and it was amazing!! Sauces are all home made. Don't miss out on this Delight.

RUN Don't walk! to this place Omg the food here is amazing you can tell they cook with fresh products it's so delicious! my sister had Rasta pasta, and she said the flavor was amazing it was like fireworks going off with flavor. I had the jerk chicken it was moist, and you can tell it was cooked on the grill I’m so happy they cook it on the grill that’s the right way. My sister ordered the oxtail plate and let me tell you, you don't need teeth it falls right off the bone. The place is very clean smells amazing as well when you enter you feel like you transported to Jamaica with the colors so Brite and vibrant. The chef you can tell she cooks with love she came out and she explained that she was taught by her step farther and stepbrother and you can tell she has pride in what they taught her. HALAL approved.!!!!
